PsychoApeMan wrote:Came home from work to a package from Amazon today... Unfortunately it was just the hellmann's book. What a piece of junk! Can't believe they have the cheek to put it up at £5.99 :rotfl: How I pity anyone who might have actually paid for it..
An illustrative example of the ingenuity displayed- in the "odd but excellent" section, allegedly filled with bizarre combinations which somehow work is Toby Anstis' fantastic creation... They didn't even bother to give it a silly name, because it's very blatantly... A CHEESE SANDWICH!!! WOWSA! From the book:
"How you make it: smear the bread with the hellmann's real mayonnaise. Place the chunky slices of smoked cheddar cheese on the bread, then layer with the slices of tomatoes and cucumber."
How did he come up with it? Such imagination.. The best thing for me about the book is some of the very, very bizarre pictures of people who invented the sarnies on display. Why is Linda Christie clearly naked? And what was Kevin Tran thinking? Was that ropey passport photo really the best image of himself he could findThose we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,

fallen121 wrote:Same here. Ciara added the points manually after I mailed her the welcome email, the confirmation of deposit email and the Paypal email. I also pointed out that I had been waiting 30 days and provided exchange rates for the past 30 days to prove that the $10 I had deposited was in fact worth just over the £5 required. I also had a previous email from her promising that providing $10 was more than £5 I would get the points.
One thing concerns me about Skilljam. The PB site is currently linking to the US site even though the T&Cs say you must deposit a minimum of £5. At the US site you have to deposit in $ dollars and even though the minimum is $10 which is (just!) over £5 if you then try and login to the UK site with your ID it doesn't recognise you. Therefore I feel that the reason PB are unaware of a lot of registrations is that they are relying on feedback from the UK site when in fact most people who follow the link end up registering at the US site. Hope you're following this!
The second thing that concerns me. The UK site is still called Skilljam but the US site has now changed its name to 'Worldwinner'.
P178 - I feel a third email is in order. Point out all the issues I have mentioned above, and enclose copies of all deposit linked emails if you have them. I think PB need to face up to the fact that their site is linking through to the WRONG site and for this reason they may not be being informed of registrations. And they need to do something about it.
Be firm and don't take no for an answer.
Good luck!!
fallen121,Thank you very much for that. I made the deposit through paypal and I have the confirmation email too.I will email them again in few days.I find this emailing business very frustrating, because its take me so long to write.I did call them and they said I have to email them. I just hope I get the points.
