Im intrigued by this idea, if you buy one expensive item (say a dress for £100) you get 1000pp and then if you return the dress to the store (which is reasonable enough) you've got 1000pp for nothing, i dont see what would stop you, except maybe ur conscience??!! if you do it let me know how it goes Im considering it myself!0 -
Twopints wrote:I don't normally post on here but this sort of puerile post is pathetic. Get over it or better still get out. There is only one person whinging on about this and it is now very boring.
Thanks Twopints, but it's best not to get too worked up over our friend funnyguy, and his occasional contributions.
If it helps you or anyone else (and bearing in mind his username) I always find that whenever he becomes particularly annoying, I just think of him in the context of the Joe Pesci character and famous soliloquy from the film Goodfellas - "in what way am I funny? - am I here to amuse you? In what ******* way am I so ******* funny(guy)" Etc, etc....

I'm not sure why this gentleman posts in this way on this thread. Although there are some slightly odd posts of his on other threads, it is only here where he appears to have abandoned common sense totally. Elsewhere, he has even been vaguely helpful from time to time.
I have very broad shoulders and his silliness has no effect. But I am surprised that some of his posts are allowed to remain on the thread. I certainly wouldn't report them myself, as that would only give him some weird sense of satisfaction, and if banned he would only return in some other guise, probably pretending to be me, for some unfathomable reason.Much of the social history of the Western world over the past three decades has involved replacing what worked with what sounded good. - Thomas Sowell, "Is Reality Optional?", 19930 -

As a former teacher, I know that children are much more crushing in their insults than this contributor! :eek:Much of the social history of the Western world over the past three decades has involved replacing what worked with what sounded good. - Thomas Sowell, "Is Reality Optional?", 19930 -

I for one like the personal chat in amongst the helpful posts - it's a community is it not?

I trust that in your capacity as a guide elsewhere you show rather more tact!
I see where you're coming from. But I'm blessed if I'm giving a troll the satisfaction of actually stirring things up.
This person is now rolling on the floor laughing at the display of two reasonable people now potentially at odds with each other. More satisfaction for him.Justie wrote:I'm not singling you out btw droopsnout
Thanks for the advice, though. :beer:Much of the social history of the Western world over the past three decades has involved replacing what worked with what sounded good. - Thomas Sowell, "Is Reality Optional?", 19930 -
For the last 10 months I have always enjoyed Droopsnouts contribution to this thread. We all need a laugh and joke otherwise life would be boring. Yet again we get tiresome comments when all we need is a sharing of answers and a little light in our lives. Thanks to you all.0
