Just making truffles for teachers presents to give tomorrow, I have not made them before (I know leaving it to the last minute as usual!) I made the mixture today and its been in the fridge for about 6 hours, but it still isn't set (I don't think I put in enough chocolate) is there anyway to rescue this???
Please......?

If you're sure it's down to not enough chocolate you could try adding some more melted chocolate? Did you use cream because I'm not understanding the bit about the mixture not setting."Who’s that tripping over my bridge?" roared the Troll.

I melted the chocolate, then added cream that had been boiled, but I melted the chocolate in the microwave for 2 minutes and it burnt a little bit! so I seived the chocolate as I didn't want to waste all of it, therefore not the full amount of chocolate that should have been.
Does that make sense??0 -
What chocolate did you use, and how much of it, and also how much cream?
You shouldnt have melted the chocolate, you let the cream do that. if its not setting, its because of the ratio of cream to chocolate.
Do you have anymore chocolate?Saving 2.00 coinsGrocerys set to 40.00 pwBeing Thrifty0 -

It does say leave 4-5 hours overnight.
Problem with using white and milk chocolate, which I found out when making my truffles is that they need a lot less cream when making DARK Chocolate ones, I left mine overnight, and it was a nice spread for cupcakes
I didnt want to waste it so I baked cupcakes and used that as a topping.
