A new reuse centre has just opened up in Northampton that looks really ace. It reminds me of one I visited in Exeter one time called Aladdins (?).
Can anyone else recommend any other reuse centres around the country?

It's in Paisley, I haven't been to it yet but I might give any appliances to them in the future as freecycle/freegle is not what it was.Just call me Nodwah the thread killer0 -
oh I hope more of these type of shops open in this country. Im an avid fan of the US TV program 19 kids & counting and they buy everything they can from thrift store and they look amazing..
They are on a huge scale like a give out of town type shop... not like our tiny pokey little charity shops
Goal - We want to be mortgages free :j

We have a few really good charity shops up here but doubt we would ever get anything big (small island). Personally I think anything that encourages recycling (whether things are used 'as are' or adapted) in a sustainable way (financially and environmentally) is a great idea

I go to the charity shops in the more affluent areas we have had really expensive brands (boden frank usher etc) for next to nothing!
I'd recommend all charity shops, often they have new stuff in as well as recycled so there is always something worth buying!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I've moved this to Green and ethical where you should get some more responses

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.

I live in Exeter and I've never heard of this, really interested to know where it is?Times is 'ard.0 -
Some charity shops are really 'community' shops. They are not registered as charities so have to pay rates.
You can tell them by the prices they charge, and they usually have a name other than, say, RSPCA or SCOPE.0 -
I was working down in towns between Exeter and Swindon. Visited a car showroom to do some Mystery Shopping work at an Industrial park on the edge of town (sure it was Exeter). The reuse centre was a couple of doors down from the Car Showroom.0
