    The hens seem to have forgotten about snow, though it was only a few weeks ago. Had to do much encouraging to get them out of the hen house this a.m. One bright bird flew to where we feed them, rather than set foot in the stuff!

    Now any smart kid is going to wonder why the snow causes logisitical problems for Santa on Christmas Day... he's got a sleigh after all. I forsee much parental wriggling to manouver out of that particular can of worms (and yes, as a kid I was the little so-and-so who'd come out with something like that).

    Animal welfare rules have changed these days....he can't take the rein deer out when its too cold, they can't wear rugs because of the wind up there. a reindeer with frostbite is a tragedy.

    this is the real problem i can see as well - why would santa fail to deliver presents because it had been snowing????? :)
