Of course you can all join, more the merrier :) PurpleMumofTwo will be along at some point to put you all on the front page I have no doubt :) We all save for what we want - there is no specific date to open the pots. Some people save to say £20 or £50 and then bank it, others save for a specific event like a holiday or christmas, and other just have a big pot and want to fill it! So entirely up to you :)

So Cankle, what is this Gothic piggy bank??!

and Flat Eric, what did you decide to save your coins in? I save mine in a tall thin tube that had choc chips in in at one time. It's the perfect size for £2's!

I feel £2 are a bit lacking at the moment so big congrats to everyone that has found one! And even more congrats to Nikki on the engagement :T

Welcome back to Marylin Monroe - nice to hear the £2's come in handy to assist in the debt payment - just proves our cause is worthwhile :D

Hope everyone is happy and carry on keeping us all up to date with your progress xx

haven't had many £2 coins in my change recently  and those that have been sat in my purse for weeks have finally been spent. :( (put two in a collection this week) and know I spent another shiny gold coin on something of which I can't remember now ?

Going to start afresh.... off to ponder what to save them in and what for ?

NB - what are you saving your £2 coins for ?

I save mine in a tin which makes a nice sound when you rattle it :D

I'm just after a little 'spare' kitty for Xmas - saving a little at a time is painless and yet mounts up. I've hit £58 now without feeling it.

And another one....found in washing machine. Money laundering at its best:rotfl::rotfl: Not from my pockets. Rule in this house is that you make sure your own pockets are empty. So its finders keepers I'm afraid:D.
