£2 Savers Club Part 5 - 2011

Have done pretty well the past week. One shop even gave me 5 £2 coins in my change, as they had run out of £10 notes.

Only one miserable little solitary £2 coin in the last 7 days!!!!! But its still £48 in total so far :-)

My £2 tin seems to have been 3/4 full for ages but not getting any fuller then I got a £2 coin yesterday in some change and also 2 of them after a trip to the P/O

Well I am going to eat my hat!!! I got 4 x £2 coins today which have plopped into my pot making my total now to £56 quid-wahoooooo.....have no more money left though for my weekend spends.....boooooooo!!

I'm gutted. I had to spend all my £2 coins, but then i always knew i'd have to. I know how much i had , and intend to try and replace the amount at some point, ( who am i kidding ).


Anyway. Started again. Four in the pot now, which brings my total to £8. Almost halfway through the year, and £8, huh? Might as well forget about the seagulls?

Another 3 x £2 coins for me this week making my the total £62 for #123. Whoop whoop!!

I've been doing this since Christmas too. I put them in a tall shot glass with the idea that I will bank them when its full. I filled it (£60) at the end of March and put the money in DH's ISA just before the year closed. Since then I banked another £26 - I was getting impatient and worried I would spend it if I didnt get it out of sight! I've now got another £18 built up in the glass. Will try and get it to the top again but there don't seem to be many £2 coins about at the moment

The bad news is - I was bad and bought a Pret sandwich today for lunch instead of bringing lunch from home

The good news is - they gave me a £2 coin in my change so I can top the shot glass up to £20 - a third of the way up
