That's me back in again for 2011, still plodding along trying to fill my sealed tin. Not weighed it lately but will try to find some digi scales soon to check it out.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I'd like to join in for 2011 please. :)

I've already been saving them this year, but will be spending them soon on a digital camera, so I will start saving again in January.
  • Can I join please - plan to save them for my holiday spending money in June, and then restart when I get back for Christmas!!

  • Interesting idea. I don't save £2 coins myself as I find them far too useful (especially for fares). I don't get many in my change anyway, maybe because you lot are hoarding them all! ;)

I've been a bit of a coin collector over the years and I was wondering if anyone's had a Darwin or Nightingale yet? The Charles Darwin £2 coin was first issued in 2009 but I haven't seen one! Likewise with this year's Florence Nightingale centenary issue. I sometimes wonder if people keep them because they think they're more valuable than the standard design. They're not, but I suppose if enough people squirrel them away they acquire a rarity value!
  • Morning Peeps,

    Welcome to the new savers.

    Have duly updated the list.
