I have been asked to update the Old Style calendar I created for 2009 and 2010 which can be viewed here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/607165/OS%202010%20calendar%20with%20photos.pdf
Greenshieldstamp had started to obtain updates and recommendations from contributors on this thread:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2176909
I will happily incorporate these changes, but as I am limited for time, if there is anything else, please can everyone let me know on this thread by midday Monday 20th December in order to make the 2011 edition.
Please let me know by Monday if anyone wants to volunteer to proof read the calendar before it is issued.
Finally, please bear in mind that I am fairly limited with an A4 sized sheet of paper to fit everything in, so can't really change the format much although I will try my best.
Thanks everyone
Ange

I have been updating it today and have changed the colour (lilac for 2012!) I have also added some additions suggested by other posters and filled in more bank holidays, etc. I will pm you Monday with the draft for review.

This is great!
I noticed that last year in November and December the main dates were noted, but not earlier in the year (Bank Holidays at Easter, May and August) I have the dates in my diary if you want them. Also there is an extra Bank Holiday in April, with the May Bank Holiday and Easter, we have 2 4-day weekends in a row
Oh and I would LOVE to proof read when 2011 is readyWe spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -
Thank you Angela!
What a great idea, can't read through at mo, just had a quick look and this will be a great stocking filler for some friends of ours that really need to sort out their finances and way of living - maybe these tips per month will keep them motivated.0 -

May - fates (mythical creatures) needs to be fetes - open air fund raisers.
January - most of England now operates freegle rather than freecycle.
February - if you have rhubarb and have not covered it, now is the time to pile on old leaves to start forcing, or even to upend an old bucket to get juicy pink stems in March. Look out for hairy bitter cress which is a lovely salading, milder than rocket. there may also be dandelion.
March - sow your first lettuce, pea and rocket seeds indoors (use old plastic containers at least 3 cms deep). They are all hardy and can go out as soon as they have 4 leaves.
March or April (probably the latter) - take a walk in the woods or hedgerows to find the first wild garlic growing; lovely sauted and stirred into scambled egg. Ground elder is even earlier and the very young leaves can be used in salad; taste first to see if you like it.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Hi Ras, I had picked up on the spelling error for May yesterday when I reviewed so thanks for that. I will add the other contributions too.
Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!
