Right, how about this one...
Split up with my ex over a year ago, we had approx £19k of bank debt(overdrafts and a loan) and owned a property. She moved home(60 miles away) and refused to pay towards anything and obviously didn't pass on her address to our creditors. I carried on for a few months on payment arrangements with the bank and mortgage lender but eventually gave up.
So as it stands, my wages are about to be arrested for the £19k(joint debt which only I am being pursued for) and I have had to surrender the property, and am awaiting the mortgage shortfall amount. Once this comes, I could find myself in a total of £50k of debt, depending on whether the mortgage lender decides to pursue my ex as well or if I just get hammered with it, like everything else.
I am now exploring the BR route and have been told I can apply now and include a sort of 'future debt' which would be the mortgage shortfall when it is eventually decided.
Any help, advice, comments would be greatly appreciated. Even if you're just telling me how stupid I was to sign joint applications with a mental girl!0
