Best websites to look for data entry jobs?

My data entry job with Royal Mail finishes next week and I am in need of a new job. What websites are out there, that are good for searching for data entry and related jobs?

A lot of NHS jobs are advertised and then withdrawn without anyone being appointed at the mo.

They are one of the main employers where I live, and the number of 'thank you for your application but due to unforeseen circumstances... ' letters I've had recently is shocking.

But far better to apply than not!

sh1305, hope things have gone well at RM. Agencies tend to get a lot of short term data entry projects, which might be a good starting point to something more permanent. I am not a fan of agencies, but if you are quite firm with them they tend to be ok. ;)
    Gone ... or have I?

do you have to be a super fast typer for data entry work?
I always thought I was relatively quick, but I took an online test once and my score was apparently rather slow....

Yes, you do. I got told today I need to be doing 1000 tasks per hour (including drawing boxes - what an exciting job I have! :rotfl: ) to be on target.

Thanks for your help. I will look at NHS and am signed up with Reed.

Also, google 'Data Entry London' (or wherever you are based). This often pulls ups sites that you might not generally search under.

    Like I said

Totaljobs continually relists old jobs as new so you could be applying for a vacancy 2 months old but it lists the job as new on today.

Monster were hacked last year giving access to the general publics personal details to whoever hacked them

Someone looking for a position should be aware of both of these issues.

Google "freelance data entry jobs" - there's lots of freelance work that is just data entry work, pick/choose the ones you can do and apply. Over a few months you can have yourself a handful of clients who regularly want data entry work doing.

A job has to be new at some point so you have to take a chance, or avoid job sites altogether as lots of them do continually renew the same ad. Reed also do this. I got interviewed for a job through Reed and it was still being advertised with 'todays' date after they had taken someone on (a friend of a friend got the job, that's how I know!)

The more ads you reply to, the more chance you will get an answer.
