I am current with coventry and when I took the mortgage out I had a full time job. One that I had for 10 years. However last year I got made redundant and I didnt tell the mortgage company. I now have a new job but I want to change my mortgage. i have been working for 1 year in new job, i have my own company.
The problem is I dont meet the normal criteria i.e. you need to have been working for 3 years to get a mortgage.
Question is I want to switch product with coventry - will they ask me about my job etc i.e are you still working for xyz company... which im not.
Basically im worried that if i switch product and dont tell them I changed job then they may stop me with my current mortgage and
not let me take out the new product or even ask me to fully pay back my existing mortgage i.e terms and condition breached. etc
Am I over reacting.... any help would be great.

If you are merely switching product then you are not remortgaging. Merely amending the terms of your existing mortgage contract. So nothing to concern yourself about.0

Thanks for that advice. I didnt want to ask coventry. I find banks and building socieities can be a bit funny about things these days!0
