is there any dvd's out there that are HD?
if so, can these be played on a bog standard dvd player to a HD telly and get HD picture quality?
thinking of getting a package of HD telly and 160gb HDD recorder (comet package). thoughts please, especially if youhave bought this package.
my current freeview receiver does not get any HD signals, do you need skyhd to get the likes of BBCHD?

theres only 1 HD DVD, check amazon.Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%
Remember when that Bank Manager or Salesperson smiles at you, all he sees is £ notes. Dont forget the motto, "the wider their grin, the more debt your in"0 -

Yep, that's Blu-Ray.
Try HD-DVD, much much cheaper, see http://www.leconcepts.com/dvd/toshdvd/toshhde1.htm
Needless to say they'll be a format war. HD-DVD seems cheaper all round.

i'm leaning towards HD-DVD instead of bluray, despite the fact that bluray offers more storage. maybe it's just because HD-DVD is cheaper and i'm skint!:o:beer:  :beer:0

Would still stay clear of this untill the whole format thing is over and done with... Dont want another Betamax situation0

Especially with Sony hoping to swamp the market with blu-ray in the PS3 and Microsoft bringing out a HD DVD drive for the XBox 360."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
