Zopa's pretty good for this sort of thing. And there's no penalties for early pay backs: http://www.zopa.com

Lots of people say they can pay the loan back.... only to have a mysterious change of circumstances completely beyond their control and fail to repay.

How SURE are you that you can repay it?
How long would you need the loan for?

Payday loans are the spawn of the Devil himself, but if you are 100% SURE you can repay it, then it does offer an option for a SHORT TERM ONLY.

If you aren't a member of Quidco - Join.

You can compare the payday lenders and see who offers the most cashback

    http://www.quidco.com/insurance-finance/finance/loans/

Don't assume the highest cashback is the best deal, have a GOOD look at the website first to understand EXACTLY what you will have to repay.

Before opting for one, post back on here for the rest of us to look at it in some depth (and also to make sure your Quidco cashback will work).

Before jumping in feet first, have you EXHAUSTED ALL other options (friends, family, selling junk etc)?
What about Credit Cards, Overdrafts with the bank??
  • Thanks for that.

Agreed there are better places, the intention is to offset the loan fee with a cashback offer to reduce the overall cost of borrowing.

Could always use lenderscompared.org.uk, then go to quidco and see if the best deal offers cashback.

either way, it is about reducing the costs. :)

Not for borrowing less than £1000 though, and not if your credit history isn't very good. So really not suitable for the OP.

    or

    loanpages.com

Both are free independent sites that specialise in loans.

    Hope that helps.

I actually stumbled upon loanpages.com the other day. I was pretty impressed. Didn't seem biased in the slightest and shed loads more information than sites like Money Supermarket.

Just to reiterate what everyone's said, only ever go for a Payday loan if it really is just going to be a short-term thing. Don't get sucked in.
