Just got given a kindle, have to say I am hooked! Being it out and about or at home, it's one of the best presents I have ever gotten! Seriously you wont regret it! Plus you can get really lovely covers!
I agree, had mine for a birthday present and its the best present I've ever had. I bought myself the leather cover with a light which although its expensive I'm so glad I did, its great for reading in bed or when the light is a bit dim. It also came in very handy when we had a power cut yesterday :T. (The light charges when you charge the kindle).0 -
Hi. The IRIVER STORY WIFI ebook is on sale at Costco at the moment. Anyone any thoughts on that? It's £66 plus VAT.0

Hi
I have a 3g kindle and I love it. I work in France and it takes seconds to download books with no additional charges. I have also found that I am downloading free books that I would not normally look at on the basis of they're free so I may as well. I have read and enjoyed a few books that I wouldn't have considered if I'd had to pay for them and if I get a free book and don't enjoy it - well it hasn't cost anything. I would completely recommend the kindle and find that there are more than enough books on Amazon to keep me happy.0 -
I can't believe it..... I asked dh if I can get a kindle maybe in a few months when the prices may go down, and he said yes!!!!!!!
I can't wait. I don't usually spend any money on myself. So it will be a fantastic treat. Well, he will be spending the money, not me. I don't have any of my own.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

including a great forum where to get free books (as soon as they become free on Amazon someone will post on there)
Gutenberg do a mobile book page that you can download straight from them without having to convert anything - have loads more free classics than Amazon
I find it more comfy turn it on its side and use my thumb to go to the next page - much like reading a book I thinkKondo'ed 76 items from wardrobe, 4 carrier bags of books0 -

The screen is so much easier to read from than a PC or IPhone etc.0
