Like others on here I too am v worried about the OP. She is NOT 80k in debt - she is over 250k, and this SHOULD be terrifying her, but isn't.

Kat hon, you've said you're meeting all repayments - but only because you've extended mortgage to 35 years. What will you do if you find you can't make payments on this because of long term illness, bad enough to stop you working but not serious enough for critical illness? How would you cope with an unexpected pregnancy?

You seem to be looking for ways to live your same lifestyle cheaper. This is not going to help. Something has to give. Prioritise - what is most important to you - cinema, sky, entertainment, clothes shopping? I'd suggest keeping the cinema as it seems a really good deal, downgrade to freeview and STOP BUYING CLOTHES!!!!!! Anything you NEED (not WANT) get from Primark.

Sort out your wardrobe - sell everything you can't remember when you last wore it. Do the same with OH.

But most important of all hon, you need to learn that just because you WANT something that doesn't mean you have to have it. If people on here seem harsh it's because we can see a disaster waiting to happen. Please have your lightbulb moment hon.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Kat, I have been thinking about you ever since your first post the day before yesterday. Others that I have seen on these baords with similar debt seem to be rightfully scare out of their wits, whereas you seem to not understand the gravity of your situation at all. If I have it right you have a Northern Rock together mortgage with 2 years left to run. You have approx 115% LTV based on the value of the property when you bought it. There is no way unless prices increase 20% that you will get another lender to remortgage you in 2 yrs regardless of the debt that you have...... Could you afford to even have to pay NR the fees for a new rate c £795 for the together product???? I feel that you should get an appointment with CCCS to discuss your options as very soon you will not be able to meet your payments unless your business generates £1400 plus from March.

I had another thought. Kat said that B&C insurance only cost 12 per month due to earning £100 through quidco. However it actually does cost double that so the actual figure should be in the SOA unless you are feeding the quidco funds in each month. It is this sort of thing that will mean that your budget will go wrong. Sorry to be picky.
I have joined, got a quote for £18 - excellent coz holmes place costs £40 so that's more than a 50% saving. I have been moaning and moaning about wanting a treadmill for ages, so this is my way around that. Plus quidco has tracked, which is an added perk, ultimately means I may actually get paid £7 to have free health insurance and free gym for 6 months and if quidco doesn't track it's still 50% off and free health coverage. This is a fantastic deal, just waiting for the paperwork to come through, how long does that take? I joined on tuesday.
    And what about this???

Do your parents have any idea of the extent of your debts? Perhaps they could take over the car loan.If you weren't around presumably the money would have had to be found to purchase the replacenent car. Its great that you have helped out your dad but I wonder if he has any idea whatsoever just how many dificulties you are facing. Perhaps they could now help you.

    well spoken
and i think if the comments remain positive the OP will feel more encouraged to find solutions as there are bount to be avenues not explored yet.
  • You need to increase income into the home and decrease expenses going out!

Personally, I dont think your taking this very seriously. Being in 80k+ of debt is a very serious matter and your only 24.

Most of your out goings should/could be cut down quite easily. Being in so much debt cant afford you luxuries and I would be throwing all my money at my debt if it was me.

So much wasted money there! Until you realise and admit there is a problem and YOU want to deal with it, whats the point of asking peoples advice:confused:

Increase your incomings and decrease your outgoings.

Sorry if it sounds harsh, but you sound like my dd and she is 11. Living the way you are has caused your debt, change this and your debt will improve.

    Hugs
