Web orders - refund of postage?

Hi - just ahd the MSE email and on a link I found:
Does that mean that anything we order online is covered if we don't like it and we can therefore ask for the postage to be refunded too?
I often don't order things because of postage costs and then thinking it won't be suitable.
The seller must then pay back any cash within 30 days, including cost of delivery to you – although be sure to specifically ask for this to be included as some stores don't add it automatically. If it didn't tell you about your cancellation rights, you may have longer to cancel the order.

I think generally the seller only has to refund postage if there is a problem with the item, if you just buy something and decide you don't like it then they are not obliged. Not 100% on this mind you.0

Thanks - well what I quoted was off this site. Looked as if you could claim back your money plus any postage charged - but you had to pay the postage of returning the item.
Don't know if that would work in practice - was thinking of shopping TV channels who charge £5.99 postage for item you could return for about £1 - but wouldn't everyone be doing it if we could just say we cancelled the order and changed our minds?Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0 -
Just found all of it on the Consumer's Rights section:Buying on the web, mail order or from home
On top of all the other protections described above, there's major advantages to buying on the web, mail order, or simply from home.
Buying at a 'distance'Type of purchase:
Goods or services from an EU based business via mail order, phone or online.
Protection from:
The Distance Selling Regulations
Time to cancel:
Goods: Seven working days from the day after you receive goods
Services: Seven days from the date of order
Exceptions:
Fresh food and flowers (for obvious reasons of decay!), personalised goods, accommodation, transport, newspapers and magazines, sealed audio, video or computer software that has been opened or a service that has already started, can't be cancelled.
How to cancel:
You usually need to write to let the seller know, although some allow you do cancel by phone. As soon as you've cancelled take good care of the goods, as you have to send them back in reasonable condition and will probably need to pay for return delivery (unless the goods were faulty).
Getting a refund:
The seller must then pay back any cash within 30 days, including cost of delivery to you – although be sure to specifically ask for this to be included as some stores don't add it automatically. If the whole order is going back you are entitled to a refund of the delivery. You will have to pay for the cost of posting it back though unless it's faulted. You could of course return to a store if possible to avoid that costAKA: PC
