Give a gift appeal - teenage boy.

Our local radio station is running a give a gift appeal for underprivileged children in the area. I would like to buy a gift for a teenage boy because they probably get overlooked. I want to spend between £10 and £20. Anybody have any ideas?

That's a lovely idea. Good on your for being so thoughtful

Boots have some good brand name aftershaves (Quiksilver, David Beckham, Calvin Klein, Hugo etc) for under £15, some are even under £10! That might be nice and a bit special for him.
Or perhaps an inspirational biography or one of the QI books?0 -
Most of my male relatives around that age are into football and car-type things. Maybe something from Top Gear? Have seen lots of branded gifts around from them at the moment. If you know it's going to be going to someone in the local area maybe a football scarf for your local team.0

Thanks for the ideas. I thought of buying a quality football, such as Adidas Champions League Football 924/2584 from Argos. I also thought about the game Risk but I think that is outside my price range. I've got quite a lot of boots points so might buy a gift from there.0

its people like you that will bring a smile on there face on christmas morning just thinking that someone did think of them.
we got same sort thing going on down here for sick chidren but we had a tree up in our shopping centre and the children wrote christmas wish on a tag saying one item what they would like for christmas the tags where then put on the tree for people to take and buy the gift and bring back hand them in.
the gifts will then be passed out to the child on christmas eve the tags just had the childs first name age and what they wanted price and where to buy said item from just to give people an idea the kids i got for ranged from 13yrs to 16 yrs cost me just over 20 pound with 3-4-2 offers and 4 smiles on chirstmas morning i say thats a good bargin
best all its what they wanted. it cost one less present for my kids am sure they wont miss it.
i chose the teenagers as i thought the same a lot would buy for the little ones the girls list ranged from gift sets to hmv voucher from 10 pound or more boys wanted same gift sets or vouchers either hmv or game hope that helps a bit
what ever you get am sure they will be happy with it
dont forget the offers in places 3-4-2 in superdrug as well as bootseveryone is wonderfull well all most :A0 -
My teenaged cousin loves gadgetty things. I dont know if they'll delivery in time but sites like play.com and firebox do quirky and gadgety things, it might give you some ideas! Also asda & matalan do a good range of t-shirts, teenagers wear the same clothes over and over again so something with a recent film/TV series etc on it might go down well. or what about a dvd most of those are in the supermarket for less than £10, if you get a newly released one they're less likely to already have it. I would also say you can never go wrong with food/sweets/chocolates, teenagers can eat their way through hoards. A good idea would be a movie box: decorate a box with xmas wrapping paper put in a DVD or a voucher for the cinema (£10) then fill with big share bags of nachos, a jar of dip (glass jar so its a bit more sturdy than plastic carton and ok out of the fridge) popcorn, nuts, a bag of sweets/chocolates etc.0
