Tots pressie for Mummy and Daddy

Hi everyone, I wondered if anyone had any ideas for my (almost 3 yr old) grandson and me to make for his Mummy and Daddy for a Christmas present.
The only thing I could think of was a picture he'd painted of them and I would get a little frame and we could put it in together and he could wrap it up in that "screwed" up fashion that they do so well.:rotfl:
Only problem is, he is only just getting to the drawing / scribbling/ painting stage and nothing resembles anything yet. Oh! I tell a lie, he can draw the sun!:T
Any ideas?

Oohh! Just had an idea!
Was reading further down about "Gingerbread Houses" and suddenly thought a Mummy and Daddy Gingerbread man in separate boxes.
We made some chocolate crispies together a while ago and he enjoyed it.
What do you all think? Still open to other ideas!0 -
Gingerbread mummy and daddy idea is nice. I would also appreciate a framed print of my little ones and did this for DH's 40th.0

how about painted hand and feet prints with date on. my 2 year old hand printed some bags for school and loved it.
another really nice pressie would be to make hand prints in stone for the garden or maybe you could do it in salt dough for in doors0 -
tinkerbellsmum, I like the hand and footprint idea as it ties in with my original plan.0

Sometimes you get discouraged
Because I am so small
And always leave my fingerprints
On furniture and walls
But every day I'm growing --
I'll be grown some day
And all those tiny handprints
Will surely fade away
So here's a little handprint
Just so you can recall
Exactly how my fingers looked
When I was very small

what a lovely thought.
don't worry if it is only a squiggle on a page. to your grandson the picture is something.
when he gives it to mummy and daddy he will proberly say what it is. and as a parent you don't care if they have only drawn one wonky line on a page. because you know in your heart it means so much to your little on and to you.0 -
Last year i got one of them paint your own plates (think it came from Tesco's, they do plate and mugs) my son then painted it for his grandad.be who you are and say what you feel.

Any random scribbles will do (meant in the nicest possible way). If you can bear the mess involved then finger painting will produce a more interesting, vibrant picture.
My 1 and 3 year olds have done calenders for lots of people - whatever "picture" they've managed with a calender tab glued on to the bottom.0 -
Saltdough - thread on this board about it. He can choose his own designs & paint. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

I'm a nanny and last year my charges did Handprints in salt dough and then painted them. I added holes before they were 'fired' and put some pretty ribbon on them to hand them up and added their names and date with permanent marker once they'd finished painting them.2010 Competition Wins - Swarovski Crystal Earrings, Handmade Greeting Card, £500 Jewellery Voucher.
