The clothing sale starts boxing day as you suggested but there is talk that it may start before Christmas, the sales assistants have not been told as I do not think they have made up their minds yet!

if anyone knows about the pink or yellow highlighter on the labels barcodes and what they mean, i'd appreciate it, thanks0

My local Matalan always put highlighter through the bar codes a few days before the sales start, so you know what's going to be reduced.
Doesn't the big sale usually start on Boxing Day?0 -
For the last couple of years the Matalan sale has started on Christmas Eve - I've managed to get some real bargain last minute pressies in the past - last year wasn't as good but I did manage to buy myself a new winter coat half price!! I'm hoping it will be the same this year - anyone know for sure??on a money saving mission0

oooh thanks for this post! i hope I can go and have a look, but I'm not so sure I can as the snow is meant to come back which means no driving anywhere for me & I'm left with a rubbish bus service to live by!
fingers crossed I can go get some bargains
