not a nice subject for a sat morning i know but for those of you with darling men in the house i need some help when i lift the loo seat they have managed to get wee on the underside of the loo seat which has stained it and i cant get the yellow stain off has anyone any ideas? i have tried bleach but to no avail:eek:

I'm glad you asked this Tired Mum as we have suffered the same thing before.
I had this with wooden seats and couldnt shift it so ended up buying new. Is yours white - if so I would try bleach.0 -
On the rear of all plastic seats there is a section which has not been coated, this is where the stains are most stubborn to remove. How clean is your house recipe is as follows:-
A little white wine vinegar (not malt it makes the room smell like a chippie), some bicarbonate of soda/baking powder, and some lemon juice.
The bicarb is slightly abrasive so should remove the stain the lemon juice will make it smell lovely.
I have also heard of a technique where a orange is cut in half and wiped over hard water stains like a sponge to remove them.I had a plan..........its here somewhere.0 -
I have no really original advice, Tired Mum, I just want to say I know what you're talking about and share your frustration! :mad:
I just use neat bleach myself.0
