Broken Capillaries

Hiya,

First of all, sorry if this is in the wrong place!

About 2 months ago I went for a facial at a local beauticians. The young lady performed the hour facial on me which included extractions. As far as I can remember she didn't wear gloves, just used a couple of pieces of tissue.

As a result, I have been left with a fair sized broken capillary on my left cheek. I hoped after time this would have gone away as I have a decent cleansing routine but it is still there.

Can anyone recommend a solution to the broken cap and also can I take any action against the salon?

Many thanks,

Jemma :o

have you been back to ask them about it? i'm not so worried about the gloves - if she washed her hands properly and used tissues there shouldn't be too much of a hygiene concern. sounds like she did some damage though! i'd be inclined to see what they say first and save any action until you've given them a chance.

it wont go away by cleansing - broken veins and capillaries are permanent unless you have them treated by something like laser treatment - sorry! http://health.howstuffworks.com/skin-care/problems/beauty/broken-face-capillaries.htm

i know cos i suffer from them myself

  • Thank you. I will email them and see what they say. Will post back when I get a response.

  • I would say that you would have to go an see them to show them your face.

Laser is the only way to fix that sort of thing

I just had IPL to remove two from my face last month and they have now gone..:)

I`m really pleased with the result, however the 15 minute treatment cost £36. It was discounted from the usual £42 and I also had to have a patch test a few days before the actual treatment which also cost £12.

I would have a word with the salon and let them know you are unhappy.
