  • Hi this happened to me, not that I lost my purse but didn't have my advantage card with me and wasn't sure where it was to be honest.

A very young SA looked perplexed, went off to seek advice and came back with a manger who said because I didn't have the card she would have to work out how much the advanatge points would be worth and deducted it from what I was returning - a pair of sandals I think about £15.

However, why don't you ring up CS and explain the situation, because you will be loosing a lot on a £75 spend.

    Good luck

  • Hi there,
When you return anything to Boots, you should have the points deducted from your advantage card. However, they rarely do this.

KLM - How unlucky! Stingy Boots
Smitty - Good Luck! Sorry to hear that you lost your wallet.

I bought an electric shaver last year. I changed my mind and took it back and bought a different one. They didn't take the points off, plus I got more points for the second shaver I bought. I was well chuffed.

Hi, I used to work for Boots, and it really was at the supervisor's discretion whether the points were taken off or not. (And like Louise24769 says, it was more often 'forgotten'). Just be really nice, and explain the situation up front, and you might get away with it!

I agree with what everyon'e's said so far about how they don't usually bother about taking off the points. But if you want to get a replacement Advantage card (and have the old one stopped so that anyone who finds it can't spend the points) then you can do this if you log into your account online or phone them up.
  • thank you will be going in tomorrow so will let you know how I get on x
