Oh right... so it's a persons 'thanks count' as to their credibility?

A few T&C's wouldn't really go a miss as to when the comp actually starts!

I'm guessing myself that it hasn't yet... I may be well wrong but UKTV often have comps on the website DUE to start on a certain date, but it does always specify that in the T&Cs of a particlar comp.

Maybe ImmortalBeloved meant that many had thanked & therefore entered without a problem.I don't think crediblility was part of it at all.

It is obvious from your post that I need to clarify mine as your 'credibility' comment not only makes no sense, but has no bearing on the remarks I made. I mentioned the 'thanks' as an indication that a number of people had entered the competition and that it had in fact been live when posted.

I always read the T&Cs before entering a competition and in this instance they stated that the comp opened at 1pm on 13th December. In my opinion the only reason to include the start date of a competition in a post is if it has not yet opened.
I have no explanation for why UKTV have removed all 3 comps from the website. I am confident misslinda has emailed them for clarification.

Hey guys, come on tis the season of goodwill to all men (& women), can we please stop all these digs at each other & just get on with what we love to do best...comping. I for one am grateful to all posters for the comps they post regardless of whether I managed to enter or not. I'm sure the comps will reappear at some point but if they don't, what the heck, there's plenty more to be getting on with instead of wasting time arguing so thanks Misslinda, now come on shake hands on this one & let it drop

UKTV have changed the terms from when this comp was first posted on their website and on this board (14th December) -

The Competition will be open between 12:00 (noon) on 17th December 2010 and 23.59 on Monday 10th January 2011 (“Competition Period”). Any entries received outside of the Competition Period (for whatever reason) will be invalid...

I would suggest to anyone who entered on the 14th to try again, in case their entry is deemed invalid. If the original entries have been accepted UKTV will not let you enter again so there is no worry about duplicating.

My apologies for bumping, but as it's a log in register comp folk won't disqualify themselves.

I did stress in my post above that this comp along with 2 others posted on UKTV that the comp had not now actually started, so I felt that some T&C's would have prevented numorous members bumping to say that it was a broken link...

It was NOT broken at all, but not yet open until today 17/12.

Just like many comps posted on UKTV, they do often post a comp days/weeks before they start, but many members do seem to feel that I was being funny from their replies... Not at all!

Most regs do known that I always post T&C's where they are available.

A few T&C's DO help to aleviate forum members frustration with trying to enter a comp which is not yet open...

I do hope this explains my earlier post which has been disregarded as whatever folk on the forum meant it it to be...

My apologies for not replying sooner, but have been at the Vets with my beautiful little Cat Crapper, as he has been unwell now for several days, and have been worried bl**dy sick about him to be quite honest, they say say they find no problems with his heart, liver, kidney etc.. BUT, his tummy has been swollen now for over a week.

Can folk who are believers please say a little prayer for him...
