MSE News: MBNA slammed over unfair debt collection tactics

hmm interesting. I am setting up a DMP but in the meantime wrote to MBNA to ask if I could make a token payment and explaining what was happening. They wrote back saying the details I supplied didnt match those they had recorded, then defaulted me! Delay tactics, obviously

mbna have ruined my life , ihave debts with a three cards and all are excepting token payment either direct or via dca's but mbna just would not listen to me at all about a year ago i tld them that i am struggling with damily and depression due to debt and loss of job and they would not freeze interest or charges they would call all day and night and get a cowboy comapany (RMA) to call and harrass me too and they would just call and ask me to pay basically all that i had in my account at the time etc anyway ....in the end they just wouldnt listen and one day last year i got a letter saying we have registered a default and the debt has been sold to experto credite ! i spoke to them last year and the guy said aslong as i pay £1 a month to experto credite i wont be hassled by them and i havent , all i get is a F&F every now and then for roughly 50% of the mbna debt but ofcourse i just ignore as i just dont have the money to pay it as muchas id love to but cant

so anyway mbna put a default on my name and it has really ruined my life in the sense i cannot apply for the jobs that i want to do and even now i struggle to get a decent job due to this
