Setting up payment plan with payday laon company?

Hi everyone

I am after a little advise please.....

I owe quickquid approx £600, I can not afford to pay this back nor keeping extending the loan. I wrote to them a few weeks ago, basically saying that I was looking at my debts, could they please hold any action on the account etc and would be in contact again within 28 days. Anyway, a few days later they called me the day after payment was due, I explained I had written in (sent recorded and id checked it had been delivered - it had) the girl said that I was best to speak to them rather than writing, so I explained I couldnt pay the full amount back and asked if we could set up an arrangement.

She said that once I had paid £112 (finance charge) which I think they are going to attempt to take friday is paid then they could look at setting something up.

The account is clear so they will not be able to take anything from it friday. However, I know come Monday they will be on the phone again.

How do I go with this....I can afford approx £50mth to pay back. How do I make them listen?

I also know that I should never have taken the loan in the first place...... :embarasse

Any advise would be very much appreciated :)

If I were you I would raise money from anywhere I could providing it was legal and not from another payday loan company to pay these guys off ASAP - they won't go away.

Failing that contact them and explain your situation.

    Good Luck

  • I am unable to get any money to pay them off ASAP - hence the original post - I have contacted them and explained the situation....but they wont listen.

Agreed, I would start flogging stuff to clear this asap.

Not sure about quickquid but many of these companies have clauses where they can steam into your bank account and take as much as they want (up to the amount outstanding).

You aren't going to be needing that to happen just before Christmas.

They aren't going to simply listen and be sympathetic, it isn't in their business model. You owe - they will recover it. The longer you leave it, the more you will be giving them.

Flog as much as you have to and go without for a little while or this could lead to disaster fairly quickly.
  • They cant take any money from my account because there isnt any in the account to take! I dont have anything I can sell either.

I assume you get paid into this account. If so, I wouldn't be too surprised to see it go within moments of it arriving.

I'm never keen on advice to open new accounts and shift money somewhere else before they can get it, my stance it that is is better to take the hit and get shot of them asap.
  • No, my wages get paid into a different account. I am just going to write to them again and tell them when they call that I will only communicate in writing. Whats the worst they can do!

    Pay it off

    Borrow it again

    Rinse and repeat

Look at the money the company make in the process

These companies have you by the b*lls the second you sign up...they need to make back all the money they lost to stoozers/bonus wh0res with their original cash back plans somehow. As per usual, rich get richer...and we pick up the tab.

Well there is a clue here ?

They have by the b*lls the moment YOU sign. The reason you pick up the tab is because you borrowed money you could not afford and then continued to do so until all lines of credit ran out.

    Whose fault is that ?

Hopefully the OP willl read your other thread and stop to deal with the debt NOW .
