  • Just had a standard reply from Mothercare:

Thank you for your e-mail, it has now been forwarded to our customer care team.

If you are emailing us about a delayed order, please read the following:

We are very sorry that we have experienced backlogs in our delivery network, however please rest assured that all orders for the majority of the country are now with our couriers and we guarantee that all orders placed before midnight Friday 17th December will arrive before Christmas. We are working hard to deliver all orders as soon as we can and we hope have the majority of orders with customers by the end of the week.

We are regrettably still experiencing delays at our depots in Scotland and the North East of England (Hull, S!!!!horpe, Stockton, Sunderland, Chesterfield), all orders placed before Midnight Wednesday 15th December will arrive before Christmas. Orders placed after this date we are unable to guarantee Christmas delivery.

We are sorry we are unable to provide any specific information regarding your delivery, but we are providing regular updates regarding deliveries through Ask ELC If you are not in when the driver attempts delivery they will try to leave your parcel with a neighbour or leave you a calling card and re-attempt delivery as soon as they can.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience or disappointment this may have caused, but I hope that this information is of help.

If you’re emailing us about anything else we will aim to respond to you within 48 hours

    Kind Regards

    Mothercare Customer Care Team

I'm not happy with ELC at the moment I ordered the Happyland Funfair on the 30th November which came within four days unfortunately it was faulty and the box it was in was a mess (the elc box not the packaging) so I arranged for a replacement which after several e-mails and three phones where I was told something different from each member of staff arrived today but instead of the £35 funfair I had ordered I got a £10 horse and carrage.
I rang them up only to be told that there is no way they can send me one before christmas and that I would have to take it back to a shop the only one with any stock in is forty miles away.I am now worried they won't beleave my husband when he takes back the £10 toy asking them to replace it with a £35 toy,we have the invoice saying Happyland Funfair on it.Sorry for the rant but I'm very happy with them at the moment

    Was that ELC or Mothercare?

I ordered the Happyland Sherwood Castle from Mothercare a few weeks back and when it came the box was squashed and ripped and the figures were missing, they sent me another one Next Day delivery!
