Present Idea...! Any suggestions welcomed!

Hi

As past of my 10yo niece's pressies (!) I've got her a pair of purple stripy wellies. Now I could just wrap these and they'll be a pressie but blah - boring iykwim.

I've got a germ of an idea to maybe put some ickle parcels in the wellies or to get a teddy/toy that could be "wearing" the wellies?

If this makes sense? I always remember being mildly disappointed at her age by getting sensible pressies like sox/nix etc so want to make it a fun thing to open.

I'm happy to go to shops to get some cheapie bits to stuff in them, I have ribbons/cello wrap/paper galore just missing the lightbulb inspiration to make them less of a "sensible" pressie.

Any suggestions gratefully received! xx

Fill with sweeties? christmassy marshmallows, choc money, that sort of thing. You could wrap them separately so they look like wellies but then fill with bits and bobs so that's the surprise. Maybe one with sweets, one with some smellies, hairbands and little bits. Sounds like fun!

Sorry but a 'germ of an idea' made me chuckle!

I think filling with socks to wear under the wellies and sweeties would be great.

Bought is to buy. Brought is to bring.

Poundland do Disney socks, why not buy a pair of these, turn them out over the rims of the wellies, and then stand up a soft toy in them?

Or, fill the boots with 'foot related' gifts - socks, nail polish/pedicure set, those foot shaped lollies, a toe ring, nail jewels, a dance steps DVD/book?
