Hiya,
I have just used some sainsbury's mailed coupons of £1.50 off when you spend £6 on veg and only spent £3. They work regradless of whether you have purchased items or not. Think they rely on customer honesty. Dunno about magazinage though!

Yep, I have some among my other vouchers and usually hand Tesco one Sainsbury magazine coupon each time. The £5 one is brilliant!
Have you got the Sainsburys November mag with the free chocolate? Don't miss the £1 coupon attached to the choccy, and the pink/white £1 coupon near the front of the magazine, as well as the page of coupons worth £11.20 near the back. I posted full details of these coupons on the Magazine vouchers thread here, if it helps:

Tesco 'SHOULD' not take these vouchers (they only advertise on posters that they accept the £x off £xx spend' Sainsburys ones) but the tills don't know that and nor do most cashiers.
Sainsburys do not accept coupons unless you have bought the product (but I got 3 past a Sainsburys cashier yesterday when I had only bought 1 of the items, she must have assumed I had bought them as I handed them over so confidently! The tills there do not know if you have bought the product or not).

Any idea if the £5 one and the others work on the self-service in Tesco?I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0 -
I'm hoping myself that Tesco will take my sainsbury vouchers in the run up to xmas. I have been sent 8 vouchers for each week upto 7th jan 07 with 10.00 off every 50.00 spent. Not bad deal at all. If not I will have to pop out of town to a sainsbury and shop there for a few weeks. Not in debt at the moment, but been there in the past and realise I'm the kind of person who could easily fall back into it with the self destructing spending button so making sure I keep on top of being a good girl.

I have been sent LOADS of coupons for Sainsbury's today :T £10 off £50, £10 off £100 £8 off £80 - £60 worth
Also there are the standard coupons woth £12 (I think) and finally another £5 for alcahol.

Just to let you know that Tesco tills will not 'beep' if you have NOT spent the amount required on a Sainsbury's voucher, so you can make a bigger % saving using them at Tesco. Also the till will not 'beep' if you are using last week's one, or even next week's one......;)
Obviously some cashiers would notice the date or the minimum spend, but I have found plenty of youngsters who don't. So the moral is, have your vouchers in your coupon handful when you hand over your Clubcard etc, and hope the young lad scans all. Personally I would not try this on a self-scan till as these are MUCH closer 'policed' than any till.
BTW, I have no problem with this as Tesco accept these as a pure loss-leader anyway, they cannot get their money back even if you spend the right amount in the right week.
Thought I would tell you this in case someone is ever thinking about throwing one away because it's just expired. I would give it a go anyway, especially in the run-up to Christmas when you need all the savings you can get.
P.S. I just paid 35p at Tesco for a tenner's worth of bits & bobs, thanks mainly to Sainsbury magazine coupons and a couple of 'normal' magazine ones.:oPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
