After paying £2.49 for a "free trial" of some slimming tablets I have found the company has taken over £150 from my credit card as I did not cancel after this 14 day trial.

You answered your self if the same post.
You did not cancel the contract in the 14 day period.
You could ring them and tell them you have made a mistake
but they can do what they have done because............make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

But its not a scam, you have to be responsible for yourself.
Witch do the same thing witht their 3 month free trial, they all just hope you forget to cancel at the end of the trial and many do.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

From what I can see of this so far, having got caught out by it, it is impossible to cancel, there are very few contact details, and the telephone number is not answered.
Whilst it maybe legal, it doesn't conform to uk trading laws, which is why it's operated from a foreign land!!
Then the banks don't seem to protect us either!!
