Halifax - !!!!!! is going on???

I have a Halifax Reward Current Account, I get my wages paid into it and then when I get home from my night shift on pay day remove the money straight away, so the money is in my account for about 8 hours then paid straight out to an account that earns interest. When the bonus is paid that goes straight out the same way.

I just logged into Halifax online banking as I have an ISA with them as well wanted to check on that and I saw my balance on the current account had gone from £0.00 to £7.32, puzzled I clicked that account and there was a payment into yesterday marked as "credit interest"

Even if this account paid credit interest (it isn't supposed to !) that seems a little generous when I never have money in it for more than half a day a month.

    Interest on your ISA maybe?
Debt free and staying that way!
  • There aren't any ISAs in the Halifax that offer monthly interest as an option..
  • Yearly interest from your ISA piad into your current account??
  • It is a 2 year fixed rate ISA that I took out in May this year

  • The money is still there, since I don't use the account other than to feed my wages in and out to get given a fiver I'm just going to leave it and see what happens, can't be bothered to go into the bank or ring them up about it, if they want to take it back so be it.
