Ipod dock for lounge

Options
Hi folks,

I need to buy the in-laws an iPod dock for their lounge for Christmas.

Was looking to spend about £50 if possible - there seems to be a lot of them around but its sometimes deceiving how small / big these things are.

Can anyone recommend one around this price please - must accept iPod classic (current one).

If it had a radio built in that would be good too.

Thanks

Have a look on the Argos site.

I think there are some docks with clock and radios for round about that price.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

    Don't be so tight.

Buy based on the quality of sound sound rather than price.

    Thanks for the input...

However although its me buying it, it is on behalf of someone else who has set the budget at that level.

And because its for the in-laws, they wouldn't notice the difference between a £50 dock and a £3000 dock, so I think £50 is perfectly realistic for them.

If it was for me then I would spend more.

    Thanks again.

I can imagine, if I had to listen to you, I'd have selective deafness too.;)
  • Money permitting I'd say bose bose bose! But as far as sound quality goes for around £50 I think the Gear4 PG471 is a pretty decent dock. It's hard to get good quality sound that doesn't crackle when set at a loud volume, but after trying this one out I'd say its great for the price.. of course it isn't the most attractive dock, but it does the job :D
