I completely agree with you, I think it's so immature in a way, almost acting like they don't want to get married! I know you're supposed to treat it as a jokey thing but I think I'm losing my sense of humour about it. You hear stories about people cheating on their H2B/W2B on their stag/hen night with the stripper or whatever and it's just pathetic.0 -

I hate this too! I actually know of at least two men who have cheated on their W2B on their stag dos! With the one of them, most people know about it except the poor wife! I think it's disgusting  I've even heard people say it doesn't count if it's on the stag!

For my sisters' hen dos, one went to Cheltenham race course, hired a table in the restaurant for lunch and afternoon tea, as well as going down into the paddock to watch a couple of the races and then went out for dinner and drinks in the town afterwards. The other sister, after a last minute change of plan, went to see Funny Girls in Blackpool. I also know people that have done afternoon tea at the Ritz and learnt to make cocktails.

I like the idea of quad biking!! Paint balling sounds a bit too painful for me I'm afraid!

That's horrible, I would hate to have everyone whispering behind my back. What's the point of doing it? If you're not mature enough to control yourself when drunk when you're not mature enough to get married! Actually, if you're not mature enough to stay faithful to someone you're supposed to be with for the rest of your life then why get married in the first place?0 -
I have left mine in the capable hands of my sister (MOH). I have told her what i would like to do and wouldnt. I am so fussy tho coz everything she comes up with i say no and i am worried she will go ahead and do something i dont want to do. I have strictly told her "NO STRIPPERS" i find it degrading

I'm awful with surprises so have organised mine with my bridesmaids!
For mine, we've hired a house with a hot tub near to a city centre for the weekend.
We're having a yummy meal made by the bridesmaids, followed by a cocktail masterclass on the Friday evening at the house and then a pamper company is coming to the house on the Saturday for everyone to have whatever treatments they fancy with afternoon tea! Then off out in the evening on the Saturday.
It's costing £160 per person but that includes all food and for the weekend (except the Saturday night).
I just wanted something that was a good girly fun weekend away for my closet friends as well as being my hen do!0 -

my hen do was fairly low cost and fab! my bridesmaids organised it without telling me the details, my stipulations were that it should not be too expensive, overnight or far from home (as i have one pregnant friend plus two friends who work shifts and would not be able to confirm until just before the event)
My fiance took me on a magical mystery tour (blindfolded) while my mates decorated my flat- we got back and the flat was full of my friends! In the morning a lady came to the flat with equipment for jewellery making and we all made necklaces and bracelets. We had a buffet lunch with nice M&S food and then in the afternoon all the girls got out their facepacks and nail polishes and we had a pamper afternoon in front of a girly film. We went out in Wimbledon in the evening for dinner and a boogie! All pretty MSE and great fun!fran-o0 -
Wow, these are sounding like some lovely days!
Mine is in the very capable hands of two of my best friends, I'm sure it'll be excellent.
H2b is still very worried about his. He's asked his dad to be his best man, which i think is really lovely, but his dad can't really organise the stag doo, which is making h2b a little stressed. I think i might have to help behind the scenes.saving up another deposit as we've lost all our equity.
