    Treating this as a generic question, Small Claims Court. Doesn't cost too much to bring a case, conducted in informal surroundings, costs unlikely to be awarded against you should you lose, and made easier if you have an experts' report. The legal assistance cover on home insurance, etc, is likely to be of help, should this route be taken/be being considered.
