Whats on TV Problem

When Whats on TV changed who ran their comps a while ago I was one of many who unsubscribed from the website. Now that all seems to be ok in terms of spam I've tried to re-register with them but can't seem to do this as I'm being told that my email address is invalid/already in use.
Despite contacting them about this to find out how to open a new account (using the email address I used previously) I've had no response.
Did anyone else have this same problem and manage to solve it? I don't really want to create a new email address just for this if I don't have to.
