Once again, and a bit like the Lovefilth offer (MSE recommending a company slated here for appalling CS) it really wasn't a very bright idea to put this on the weekly email.

As a NY Resolution I really do hope that the "powers that be" on MSE will actually read the threads properly before plugging such things so widely on emails. I actually feel quite sorry for the company concerned here as they seem to have had their specific database promotion completely hijacked + only one person here seems to have had anything out of it.

I agree with you Edna. I was a bit annoyed after the'bobbleheadie' freebie (which was a scam) was put on the weekly email and the website was accessed by thousands, only for the creator of the scam site to cash in on all the clicks through to his website.
