Texas Hold'em Poker Kit £7.49 Woolworths

Texas Hold'em Poker Kit half price at woolworths, only £7.49. Cheapest I've seen one of these kits:T . ( £9.99 amazon)
Includes cards, 200 chips, 2 chip trays, dealer button, felt playing surface and instructions.
Great idea for a christmas gift or just so you could have some mates round for some drinks and a friendly game of poker (obviously I don't encourage gambling as not very money saving but a night in can be alot cheaper than going down the pub:beer: ).

Sorry to jump on your subject, but does anyone know of a website that can teach people to play poker for free? Hopefully interactive lessons, not just something to read...

    Cheers

Probably easier playing for free on a website against other people once you know the basics and also watch poker on the TV as it should help give you an understanding of the game, I use to play on partypoker.com but now just play texas holdem on my xbox 360

As you would expect it's a good site for tips, particularly their strategy section:

Just pick it up at whatever level you like.

people dont play properly when there is no money involved they just go all in with out having a decent hand. TV is a good idea though. Thats how I learned and I enter small tournaments now and regularlly win money
  • Got this one today from Woolies. Not a bad set. Chips are a little light but then I work in a Casino so it's what I'm used to. Thanks to OP!

  • Hi, just to let you know that Tesco Bar Hill (near Cambridge) are selling a set with 500 11.5g chips, 2 packs of cards, dealer button, basic instructions, 5 dice and all in an aluminium case for £11.99 (I've seen this set advertised in another Tesco for £49). Elsewhere in the store they have a set with I think 300 chips for £19.97....from the same manufacturer!!!
