Pay your housing costs with a mortgage or shared ownership and you get to stay in the property. Do you mean rentiers here or renters? I'm a bit confused. Rentiers are the people who live off the income of the renters and through owning property, land and other investments don't need to work.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Well if you get into shared ownership you're paying off the housing association's secured debts to financial institutions.
Worse still, you a merely servicing the HA's debt and could be screwed when the HA goes into administration.
