Letters from Santa????

I have done a bit of googling but can anyone recommend any one letters from santa websites in particular??

Also what is the youngest age you would recommend as I am afraid they will be a bit too young.....they won't be able to read it all but will know their own name etc and I imagine they'd be quite excited to show other people, and old enough to understand what it was.

It's a child who lives far away from me, so I won't see it first if you know what I mean, so a bit like when you worry flowers you order are going to be rubbish and you never know, cos the recipient is too polite, if anyone can recommend a site in particular i 'd be very grateful

Thanks :)

  • I struggled to find somewhere that had one that was 'just right' I wanted to include personal details and make sure it suited my children.

So I ended up using this website that allows you to chose the template, design, wording etc. You could either chose a letter and add your personal bits or create a letter from scratch. When finished you print them yourself. And its all free!

I thought this was much better as you know exactly what you are getting and can vary each letter for each child and make it age relevant

Other places I have heard of are royal mail, nspcc, toyrus and there is about a million on ebay too!
  • My daughters received letters from the NSPCC this year - they were tailored to the child's age and were rather good.

But if the children you are sending to are very young, how about a video from Santa instead? I would highly recommend the Portable North Pole (google it) where you can set up a wonderful video from Santa, incorporating a picture of the child which you can upload, their name, age and what they would like for Christmas. You can preview the final version before it gets e-mailed to the receiving child. My 6 year old was completely, utterly entranced last Christmas and still talks about it now- how Santa has her picture in his book and really knows what she wants for Christmas etc. The child can play it over and over again until sometime in Jan/Feb.

Really lovely - and completely FREE!! Very MSE!
  • The Postmistress at my local PO said you can send a letter to Santa...even just by adressing it to the usual Santa, The north Pole and if you put your name and address on letter, you will get a reply??

  • I can thoroughly recommend the Portable North Pole Santa video message. My son was enthralled. Unfortunately I can't put the link in this message but you can Google it or there's a link to it on the MSE website under 'Deals - Santa Letter and Video'.

A word of advice. When it asks for your postcode, only type in the first part - 3 or 4 characters - as it doesn't seem to recognise the complete code.
