Can't view my pictures, please help.

Hi guys.

I recently took pictures off a cd I had saved and put them onto my pc.
I remember at the time of putting these pics onto cd in data format, can't remember why.
Now I have them back on my pc I can't view them, just keep getting a message saying 'no preview avaliable' ??
The files say jpeg but still can't open.

Any advice would be great.

What is the file size of these pictures. You may not have actually copied the pictures but a link to the pictures.
 Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:

I am afraid I don't know how to uncompress graphics if yours have been compressed in this way.

Have you tried using a graphics program to open them?
  • Open My Computer (Explorer), go to Tools --> Folder Options, click on the File Types tab, scroll down in the list to JPEG, highlight and look at the 'Opens With' below. Select the 'Change' button and select your preferred image viewer program. If you dont have a 3rd party image viewer installed select 'Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.'

Not with either of the above and don't have a graphics program, thanks anyway.

Tried the above with finepix viewer and windows, still no luck.

I think it could be a case of un-compressing but thats a guess.
