Needed - shopping list for foody hamper

Hello! i have a neighbour to whom i normally send my unwanted bottle of (expensive) wine from work to with a tin of chocs/biscuts, however i found out this year they dont actually drink...!! plus being on maternity leave i probs wont get that bottle anyways!
Ive been reading on here about hampers and have made several pamper hampers, film night hamper and grandparent goodies hamper and wanted to make a foody hamper for these neighbours as well as an identical one for 2 other people on our token christmas present list!
Unfortuantly i didnt realise how difficult buying hamper food would be for people that you dont really know well enough, without looking a bit tight! I thought about jam, marmalade, chutney, shortbread, fudge, toffee... but stood bewildered in the supermarket!!
Next year i will attempt to make our own
what i really need is your help! could you possibly write me a shopping with specifics on! i would be eternally grateful!
budget is between £7-£10 per household - the cheaper the better... ideally being bought online from tesco's or asda-dont really want to brave the supermarket again
THANK YOU!!!!!
