When you leave you can insist of your statutory holiday entitlement down the the last fraction of a day regardless of what your employer may try try to claim. If they won't let you take it before you leave then they will have to pay you for it.
As you get additional holiday above the statutory 28 days then the employer can set terms and conditions for this bit only.

Returning to your original postI currently work 37 hours a week full time,
my annual holiday entitlement says 33days/244 hours between April 1st and March 31st i think, I've been there since before the start of this financial year
I work 4 days a week, roughly 10 hours a day
I would like to take this 64 hours (6 days)
244 hours = 33 days, means one of your average days is 7.4 hours long.
37 hours in 4 days is precisely 9.25 hours long
Do your written particulars of employment indicate you work four days or work five days a week?
64 hours would not be 6 days - 64 hours = 6.9 days of your typical day or 8.7 days if you use the 33 days/244 hours basis.
You would be best to calculate your holidays on the hours basis and how many paid hours you work in a week (if those weeks you are not taking holiday are always the same length, ignoring any over-time). (Overtime is not likely to be counted in the accrual of holiday.)0
