Well, its nearly that time of year!!!
Every year it is the same thing. Stay at mum and dads. Wake up to Dad banging around the kitchen putting the turkey in at 8am. Gammon on to boil etc.
By the time we have the Turkey and Gammon they are both as dry as a bone!!!
What I wondered is... I remember last year that some retail outlets were cooking turkeys by order.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Is it worth paying extra for?
Dad would kill me if I took his routine away for a crappy turkey!! _pale_
Does anyone know of a good retailer that does this?
Thanks guys!! :snow_grin

I've not heard of it, but if your dad would be cross at the suggestion, could you sneak into the kitchen once the turkey is on and turn the oven down a bit, so it doesn't end up nasty and dry?

If its any help, I cook my turkey on Christmas eve. Then just heat the amount we will need on Christmas day. If you put a little water in the dish with the meat and cover with foil it will stay nice and moist. I also prepare my veggies etc on Christmas eve aswell. It makes Christmas day much easier and means I'm not stuck in the kitchen all the time.Debt free = December 2010...as of March 2006 it is now January 2010..... as of December 2008 it is now December 2009 :j hopefully sooner!!:jDEBT FREE:j January 2012, took longer but I got there, all by myself, through sheer hard work and pride!0
