21st Birthday Help - NY Theme- Help Please!

Evening Everyone,

In January it is my boyfriends 21st birthday and I'm taking him on a surprise trip to New York which I will be telling him on his actual birthday 10 days before we fly....

But I need everyones lovely help as to how I can give it too him.

I like to do it diffently, so not just giving the tickets to him, if you see what I mean?

Thought about putting a book together with lots of photos of NY in and then tickets at the end, or something along those lines?!

I would also like any gift Ideas to go along with the theme?

Any Help is much appreciated!!:)

Many Thanks

A xXx

  • For some of my American themed greeting cards I have used
    Acme Licence Plate Maker.
(I do not think I am allowed to add a link so just google it )
It enables you to make a personalised plate from the state of your choice, which you can print
You could choose a NY Plate add his name and happy birthday etc
it's really easy to use and fun

Most craft shops do great New York themed 12 x 12 sheets of paper
which you could also use to make a booklet

what a lovley present a trip to NYC !!

When I was 50 we had three weeks touring the USA and on the last day I was expecting to fly home from Philladelphia but my husband handed me tickets for the Amtrak train to New York and a stay of 8 nights, it was amazing.

    Have a great time

  • You could give him a single apple all wrapped up... then when he is confused act a bit disappointed and say, "Oh, perhaps you would have preferred a BIGGER apple?" And then give him the tickets? :D

I'd love to do this for my boyfriend but we have other plans for January. I'm going to keep an eye on the airline sales next year and try to book some tickets for our birthdays in July or maybe next Christmas. Do you mind me asking roughly how much your trip cost and where you booked it? Everything I've found recently is in the region of £500 each for flights and hotel which is way out of my budget!

i took my OH on a surprise trip to NY for his 30th. he opened all his small presents first and at the bottom of the pile i'd wrapped up two guide books. the shock on his face was priceless.
