Bhs awful 'customer service'

I ordered my wedding shoes from Bhs on the 3rd November and they were delivered within a week.
When I opened the box, it was obvious they were a used or a tried on pair, as the soles had marks on and they just looked grubby.
I phoned customer services and asked for an exchange, but they told me I would have to send them back for a refund, then I would have to buy them again.
When I bought them they had 20% off, so I asked what can I do about the extra money I would have to pay, as the offer had ended by then and it wasn't my fault I had to send them back.I was told to buy them at full price and then ring them back up and tell them the situation and they would refund me the difference.
I had an email confirming they had recieved the shoes back and I would be refunded by paypal by 5 working days. That was on the 22nd November.Im still waiting for this to happen!
I sent them an email on the 1st Dec which was replied to after 2 days which said I had been refunded by card on the 22nd Nov.
I paid by paypal and there has been no refund there or on my card.
I sent an email back stating this and again Im waiting for a reply which has taken 5 days now!
I have tried phoning a few times now and all I get is that they are busy and try phoning later.
Im getting annoyed now, they havent even apolagised yet!

I really feel for you.
I tried to get another number for you, not the premium rate one. I got the Head Office number Tel. 020 7262 3288. Ask for customer services.
Okay, what I would start doing is every day send another email, with all the previous emails attached until you get a response. If you remember who you spoke to and when, it would be best to add every detail possible (and use the same initial reference from the very first query).
I'd also mention that you've posted your complaint on a consumer complaints forum, and that ignoring your requests is being charted online.
I hope that after all this you get your apology.
I really hope this helps in some way. If it doesn't, then I shall try to think of some other way for you.
I suggest a coffee might be a good start.Invented tradition: Couponology
Fancy title: Couponologist

Probably scrimping to get money to pay Philip Green's tax bill. Not.
