From the information you have given... HOW in the name of god have you worked out that you can afford to repay a loan??

You don't seem able to afford what you have already but you want even more outgoings each Month.

Go into the DFW Board and post an SOA. You need to find a way OUT of debt, not a way further INTO Debt.

Sorry to tell you but your only chances are people like Provident and Payday loans but I seriously doubt even they would lend to you given the very recent defaults and terrible money handling skills.

    I wish you luck though.

you should be negotiating payment plans with for your existing bills, pay over installemtns etc etc rather than finding ways to increase the amount you own by adding interest to what you already owe?

what do you have on your floors now? bare boards? live with the carpets and paper you have for now and SAVE up to smarten the place up (interim perhaps you could manage a can or 2 of basic/plain paint or get a rug from somewhere (2nd hand / on loan from family member) if that desperate on flooring.

what is wrong with the oven? can it be repaired fairly simply?

    etc etc.

what alternative ways are there for gettiing to work?

if you have a good income SAVE, prioritise and make do in the meantime

Any house I've rented has always come with a carpet and built in oven, can't think of any house i've looked at that didn't, you could look for somewhere else to rent before you move with these things already provided.

Thanks ive had someone look at my cooker they said its also got a small gas leak which cant be repaired as well as the oven does not work at all , so if i cant grill or fry it we cant have it been like that for a few months now , been catching up on bills as well so have not been able to save at moment second hand ones seem to cost 200 still, and the house is concil housing i have wooden flooriing at the min which i am planing on taking with me an reusing as much as i can, but they dont com,e with cooker and are usualy in a bad state to start with, ive already arranged payment plans but have been unable to stick to them with our income dropping so much 1400 a month drop with my wage and his income drop too , and taking so much time off work which i had no choice but to do, i now have incresesd my hrs at work from jan but its payed monthly so wont feel the benifits till feb, just thought a loan seemed like a good idea as i would of been able to pay it back once my wage increses, i have never had a loan before and have allways been against getting in debit through credit or store cards ect, normally id stay well clear, just this xmass an due to problem we are beeing moved argently as well, no time to save , thanks for all the help an adeas thou i will be looking into them, just have to manage till we can aford to buy, just not nice for kids before xmass moving into a house at xmass that we cant make nice really, and presents havent bought any yet, ive been threw ever thing sold old stuff on ebay ect, never mind just thought a loan would of been a worry taken off our mind, but am not stupid enogh to get a little apr, thanks for advice

Do you have a local Freesave group? Also, where I live there's a local authority furniture project which has second hand goods and furniture - your local CAB would know if there's such a scheme in your neighbourhood.

    Do you mean FreeCycle?

If so, then that can be a great place for picking up things like a cooker.
