natwest taken 7 mnths for mortgage and still full retention

Applied in june 2010, natwest have still put a full retention on, they want about
£1000 worth of work done which I have no problem with and supplied all the reports they asked for but are saying now they want to know if there is any movement.

What should I do?

First time buyer. Giving about 23% of deposit as well.
Natwest have wasted a lot of time making excuses the valuer didn't receive the faxes sent over to him by natwest

  • Who can possibly say, on such little detail?

Retention in respect of what? A movement related issue?

What to do? Highlight the page of the survey that covers movement - hopefully it says "None", send it to Natwest??

If it doesn't say "None", what does it say?
Act in haste, repent at leisure.
