Reclaiming Charges - Store Cards?????

Hi All
Advice needed: I wrote to all my creditors (bank, credit & store cards) about 2 weeks ago asking for a full list of all charges.
So far I have only received the details from Clydesdale (they look after my Karen Millen store card). I have broken the charges down: Payment Insurance £10.31, Interest £319.91 and Arrers charge letter £432.
What I would like to know is, can I claim back for the interest and must importantly the Arrears Letter Charge for a store card debt?
Also: what is the next stage if 1 - I do not hear back from any of my creditors with all the request I have asked for (I sent them £10 postal order) 2 - What do i do from the ones i do hear back from?
I am going to pursue this with all my might, as I do not believe that it can cost a company £20 to send me a letter!
Any other advice truly welcomed

Perhaps you should take advice from the CAB or similar free advice organization. No one has responded so perhaps thet's because no-one knows?

Maybe you could be the first to take such a case? Go on you could be a trail blazer and go down in history.:money:CCs @0% £24k Dec 05 £19,621.41 Au £13400 S 12600 Oct £11,981 £9481 £7500 Nov £7250 D £7100 Jan 6950 F £5800 Mar£5400 May £4830 June £4660 July £4460 Aug £3200, S £900, £0 18/9/07 DFW Nerd 0420 -
Hi
Have just seen your post, but i am a little confused by it. Yes you can claim back charges from store cards ( bi have done this already with 2 companys). If you have been charge for an arrears letter or arrears charges you can claim them back. You can claim back the interest you would have paid on these charges (this is complicated to do but have link to good website to help) but not normal interest (ie interest on purchases you have made)
What letter did you send to your creditors was it a data protection letter. If it was they have 40 working days to provide you with your statements. If they dont then there is another letter that you can send again on the website.
In fact all the info you need is on the website. The people over there are very helpful.
Let me know what you have so far and i will try and help if i can
website you need is

hope that helps

You can claim interest at 8% on all the charges except the interest you are reclaiming.[strike]-£20,000[/strike] 0!0

Hi,
Try these for help and pro forma letters.
Make sure you read the advice first - it's worth the time and effort:

You have to register with this one to access the forum and libraries, but it's nothing to worry about and the site is supported by Martin.
