Sancerre £6.23 at Asda

I was in Asda topping up on Wolf Blass Cabernet Sauvignon at £4.48 when I noticed they also had Sancerre marked as half price at £6.23 a bottle. That's certianly the cheapest I've seen this delightful Loire dry white wine for a long time. I haven't tried it yet but a similar offer a while back on this wine got good reports. HTH

Good price for that wine as it is usually very expensive, but I do think it tastes of grass!! (OH says I have no class!!!)

I bought a couple of bottles of this to try as the price was so good but am really disappointed. It's not a patch IMO on the Sancerre in Costco that works out about £8.50ish when you buy the case of 6.:(
