L-TSB Loan denied: "Bad Credit Bureau Data"

So I made an appointment with my local Lloyds TSB, to discuss the possibilities of a loan

He opened my records and said it wouldnt be possible as my file showed "BAD CREDIT BUREAU DATA". He couldnt tell me what this bad data was, other than apparently something wasnt right (great huh)

He told me that LTSB use "My Credit" to get the CRA info for them, but a swift googling didn't really bring anything up

I already knew that because of a new system (apparently) and the bad weather here in Scotland at present, I still wasnt showing as on the ER with the CRA's, so I drove down to the local Valuation Board and paid the obligatory £10 to get a letter from them which stated that I was in fact on the ER

I also printed out my full CR from Experian to take down with me. He asked to look at neither

So, my question is: How do I find out exactly what this "Bad Credit Bureau Data" is, since he couldnt (or wouldnt) tell me any more than that?

Your credit report can only be accessed with your permission. Presumably you're already a customer of LTSB and they're monitoring your credit report with one of the three CRAs to help manage their existing relationship with you. If they are refusing to give you credit because of information provided by a CRA then by law they have to tell you which CRA they have consulted. I would ask to speak to the manager, or at least someone who can help with this.

The new electoral registers were published on 1 December and it takes Experian about three weeks to get the new information tested and onto the live database. Not sure about the others.

I've already sent notices of correction to Experian and Equifax (should I bother with CC? Does anyone actually use them..?) along with a scan of the confirmation letter from the Valuation Board that states that I'm on the ER, so that should get that sorted soon enough

Unfortunately, the new ER's werent sent out on the 1st December (at least not up here in Scotland) partially due to the weather and partially because (so they tell me) they have a new system in place

What I really want to know is "Bad Credit Bureau Data" - does it mean there is erroneous data, or just that my CR at the CRAs sucks? Anyone from L-TSB could answer mebbe?
